Our programs

Giraffe Room (Infants)
The Giraffe Room spends their day being fed, rocked, read and sang to, cuddled and loved. Our teachers love to encourage them to roll, crawl, climb, and walk. Nothing is better than a baby's laugh and smile. They enjoy doing art and sensory and getting out for a walk when weather permits.
The Elephant Room spends the day exploring, learning, and working on their personilities. Our teachers enjoy circle time, art/sensory, reading and dancing all day long. It 's amazing how quickly their little personalities start to bloom.
Elephant Room ( 1 year olds)
The Alligator Room is a very busy room. They enjoy learning while playing throughout the day. Art/Sensory, music, climbing, and outside time are some of their favorite things to do.
Alligator Room (2 year olds)
A more structured enviromenent and activities start in the Tiger Room. We encourage learning through exploration with our play-based approach. The Tiger Room works on skills such as sharing, taking turns, conflict resolution, preschool skills, and having fun being a kid.
Tiger Room (3 year olds)
The Monkey Room is focused on school readiness. Our teachers work on self help skills, independence, and building friendships. We want children to feel confident going to school and have great self esteem.
Monkey Room (4 year olds)
The Lion Room was the most excited for our new addition to be finished and move to a new room. We offer before/after school, no school days, and summer program to K-5th grade. During the school year, kids enjoy center/free time after school In the summer, school age loves exploring Garretson and going on many outings.

When Needed:

Drop In Care
Blue Dragon Academy offers Drop -In Care when availabilty allows. To check on availbilty, call a minimum of 24 hours in advance of needing care. Drop In Rates are: $6 hour per child. Minimum of 3 hours and Max of $50 a day. If spot reserved for Drop In, payment is due at time of arrival. Cancellation Fee of $25 if you don't use service and spot held for the day.

Our Curriculum!

Here at BDA we use FrogStreet for our curriculum from Infants to Pre-K! This curriculum offers children: -STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) -Literacy -Problem Solving -Conscious discipline -Hands on learning activites There is so much room for our teachers to expand and use this curriculum to fit the childs interests and needs!
We use LWOT for our 3-5 year old age groups. Students strengthen essential fine and gross motor skills through hands-on materials, learn through purposeful play, and explore language through connected text.
Our Tiger Room (3/4 year olds) enjoy the Clifford weekly readers. Clifford brings joy to learning in preschool with fun, knowledge-building tescts to seasonal science, social studiesm, and social development themes. We support and delight beginning readers! Our Monkey Room (4/5 year olds) enjoy reading the Lets Find Out weekly readers. Lets Find Out brings fun nonfiction seasonal science and social studies themes. Every issue is built on a firm foundation of skills that reinforces curriculum. Throughout the year students develop cross-curricular knowledge as well as foundational reading and writing skills.

CACFP FOOD PROGRAM

Blue Dragon Academy is part of the CACFP Program. Our children are served nutrious meals every day. We offer breakfast, lunch and snack to children enrolled at BDA.
